BACKGROUND:
The City of Ocala utilizes SECO Energy to provide pole lighting services to the Fore Ranch subdivision. SECO Energy is the franchised utility provider for this region.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
SECO is the sole utility provider serving the Fore Ranch subdivision, where the City of Ocala provides street lighting. The Finance Department has projected expenditures for SECO’s services for the current Fiscal Year 2026-27 and the subsequent two fiscal years. Total expenditures over the three years are estimated not to exceed $260,000.

Funds are budgeted in account number 001-099-999-513-81-43010.
