BACKGROUND:
This billboard Sign Location Lease (the “Lease”) will allow the continued use of a portion of City-owned parcel #22797-001-00, east of I-75 and south of US HWY 27, by the Lamar Companies for billboard advertising purposes at an annual rental rate of $1,000. The lease is automatically renewed unless terminated by either party with 90 days' advanced written notice.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS: The billboard sign location lease has been reviewed and approved by the Engineering Department and assigned contract #230598. Staff recommends approval.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The annual rental proceeds will be credited to account string #001-362-000-000-02-36201. The city acquired the billboard as part of the right of way needed for the proposed NW 37th Avenue project. The billboard will be removed when the road project moves forward.
PROCUREMENT REVIEW: This agreement has been reviewed in compliance with the City’s Procurement Policy.
LEGAL REVIEW: This Agreement will be reviewed and approved for form and legality by City Attorney, William E. Sexton.
