BACKGROUND:
The term for former board member Eliezer Nieves expired on March 1, 2024, who did not reapply, creating a vacancy.
The Office of the City Clerk has received five applications from Arnold Barbaro, Malcolm-Omari Davis, Jorge Sevilla, Lauren Talbot, and Kristy Unold, to fill this unexpired term ending March 1, 2028.
Council may vote for one applicant to be appointed to fill this vacancy.
The Ocala Municipal Arts Commission is an 11-member board, one vacancy remains, to be filled by a representative member of the Marion County School Board. This vacancy is advertised on the City website.
