body
BACKGROUND:
Staff requests approval of a Perpetual Storm Sewer and Access Easement to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) across the City-owned section of the FDOT haul road to Marion County Parcel #21818+000+00. The road is a pathway that FDOT uses to remove debris from I-75; it is not used for public transportation. In May of 2003, a portion of the haul road was conveyed to the City in support of the future construction of NW 37th Avenue. Now, FDOT needs an easement across the conveyed area. The easement will support FDOT’s I-75 Expansion Project. The approval will permit FDOT to construct and maintain a below-ground storm sewer pipe for drainage from I-75 to FDOT’s water retention area located on Marion County Parcel #21818+000-00. Please see the attached aerial views for clarification.
