BACKGROUND:
This is a two-year contract with the possibility of two, one-year renewals for the reconstruction, rehabilitation, and resurfacing of paved streets and roads as identified by the City's Engineering Department for the Transportation Rehabilitation and Improvement Program (TRIP). The three types of rehabilitation utilized in the contract are reclamation, mill and pave, and overlay.

The scope for this contract includes but is not limited to: the removal and replacement of asphalt; concrete sidewalks; curb; asphalt stripping; asphalt milling; asphalt reclaiming; and all other facets that are included within the contract for the resurfacing and construction of roads and other projects that are assigned to the program.

Contract work is broken up into individual projects with purchase orders issued against the contract for each project throughout the contract period. The total amount to be spent on the contract is not expected to exceed $5,000,000 over the two-year period of the contract.
