BACKGROUND:
The City of Ocala and Angel Jacobs are parties to an employment agreement that expires on October 31, 2026. In accordance with the Code of Ordinances City of Ocala Florida, Article II, Section 2.17, all appointments of city officials made by the City Council as authorized by the charter shall be made at the second meeting in October of even-numbered years and shall be for a term of two years. In addition to the appointment requirement, the parties desire to formalize the rights and responsibilities of each by entering into an employment agreement.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
Request approval of the employment agreement between the City of Ocala and City Clerk, Angel Jacobs.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds are budgeted in the City Clerk's budget (001-012-212-512-51-*) for Fiscal Year 2026-27.
