BACKGROUND:
Ocala Fire Rescue is required by Florida Statutes to have a licensed medical doctor to provide medical oversight for the Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians. The Medical Director is also responsible for signing off on all paramedics before being able to act in the capacity of a paramedic with Ocala Fire Rescue.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
This agreement has been an ongoing relationship with Dr. Fraunfelter for medical oversight for several years.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$60,000 for the initial two-year contract term with two optional, one-year renewals. Funds are budgeted in account #001-019-019-522-52-34010.
PROCUREMENT REVIEW:
The agreement has been reviewed and in compliance with the City’s procurement policies.
LEGAL REVIEW:
The agreement is pending legal review by City Attorney, Robert W. Batsel, Jr.
