BACKGROUND:
In September 2021, Council approved a one-year contract with Sinnott Wolach to purchase two Infoblox Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name System (DNS), and Internet Protocol (IP) management systems, along with supporting software and maintenance.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
This agenda item requests approval to procure the software and support services necessary to upgrade Ocala Fiber Network’s (OFN) DHCP/DNS environment to a virtualized platform. Transitioning to a virtual solution will enable OFN to scale more effectively, reduce reliance on physical hardware, and strengthen overall network reliability. This modernization initiative will also support OFN’s five-to-seven-year build-out plan by providing a more resilient, adaptable, and scalable infrastructure that can accommodate sustained customer growth. The upgrade will be obtained under a two-year agreement utilizing GSA Contract No. 47QSWA18D008F.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds for this project are budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2026-27 account #490-031-296-539-69-65010.

These goods were procured in compliance with the City’s procurement policy.
