body

BACKGROUND:

Silicone roof coating provides a superior waterproof membrane that protects roofing systems from environmental degradation. This solution enhances roof durability, extends lifespan, and reduces the likelihood of costly replacements.

To optimize building longevity and cost-efficiency, Facilities Management has selected silicone roof coating as an alternative to complete roof replacement.

FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:

On June 18, 2024, the City issued its Request for Quotations (RFQ) No.: FAC/240794 for the provision of silicone roofing materials. Two competitive quotes were received, and Inland Coatings, Inc. was found to be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.

The roofing product provided by Inland Coatings is backed by a limited lifetime warranty and is expected to extend the roof membrane's life by 15 to 20 years.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Funding for this purchase is available in the Facilities Maintenance account 001-026-601-519-51-46010.
