BACKGROUND:
As an entitlement community, the City of Ocala receives federal funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in the form of a yearly grant allocation. Pursuant to receiving this allocation, the City is required to submit an annual action plan that stipulates how the grant allocation will be disbursed and how the City will achieve the national objectives of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
To fulfill the requirements of the CDBG grant agreement, the City must prepare an annual plan of action before the allotted grant is awarded.
FISCAL IMPACT:
In October 2026, the City anticipates receiving $514,897, which will be used in accordance with the attached action plan. These funds will be appropriated by budget resolution when awarded.
