BACKGROUND:

Wear Gloves Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, provides vital workforce development programs empowering individuals facing employment barriers. These programs equip clients with in-demand job skills, fostering self-reliance and enabling them to become productive community members.

 

FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:

Wear Gloves Inc. has requested the donation of two pickup trucks to enhance its comprehensive workforce development programs. These trucks will transport workers to and from job sites and support initiatives such as job certifications, access to supportive housing, and essential life skills training.

 

Staff recommends the donation of two City surplus vehicles as indicated below. These vehicles are no longer suitable for City use.
