BACKGROUND:
Sections 18-31 and 18-32 of the City's Code of Ordinances establish an airport advisory board of no more than five members and define the powers and duties of the board. The airport advisory board was created to assist the city council on issues affecting the Ocala International Airport. The existing Code of Ordinances identifies a quorum of the Airport Advisory Board to be four of five members.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
Amending the code to accept three of five members as a quorum increases meeting efficiency and allows business to be conducted even with multiple absences.
