BACKGROUND:

On November 15, 2016, City Council adopted Resolution 2017-13 to establish the new Brownfields Advisory Committee and twelve members were appointed.  The board was subsequently reduced to nine members in 2022 and currently, there is one vacancy. Staff is proposing that City Council appoint Brady Fritz to an unexpired four-year term ending on March 1, 2027.

The purpose of the advisory committee is to promote and receive comment on the identification, rehabilitation and redevelopment of brownfields within the city.

Brownfields Advisory Committee members shall serve four-year terms and may be reappointed. The application to serve on the Committee was received on January 13, 2023. See attached.  Currently, there are nine member positions on the Committee including one vacant position.
