body

BACKGROUND:

On July 12, 2022, the City Council approved the Fourth Amendment to the Original Agreement with Indigo Sports, LLC, to manage the Ocala Golf Club.

The City wishes to improve the course's condition through irrigation replacement and other professional services that Indigo Sports, LLC, will facilitate.

Funds are not available in the Golf fund to support this activity. A General Fund Reserve Contingencies account transfer is required to support these additional unexpected expenditures.

FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:

The Ocala Golf Club course needs improvements. Consulting services offer another level of protection to the City’s asset. The irrigation system at the Ocala Golf Club is 15 years old and failing to operate properly. The Golf Fund is unable to support these services and the irrigation project. Funding assistance from the City’s General Fund Reserve for Contingencies account is required.

Staff recommends approval.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Funding in the amount of $390,000 will be transferred from the General Fund Reserve for Contingencies account 001-099-999-513-81-99800 to the Other Services - Total Expenses account 452-029-029-575-57-34060.
