BACKGROUND:
On April 5, 2022, City Council approved the purchase of playground equipment for the Ocala International Airport. This playground will augment the terminal experience, attracting parents and children to the airport. The Airport Advisory Board voted unanimously in favor of the playground.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
Funding for the playground is through Recreation and Parks and Airport. The playground will be added to Recreation and Parks annual certification and safety inspections schedules.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Recreation and Parks will transfer $60,000 from account 001-021-120-572-57-46010 to the Airport account 451-027-720-542-69-65010 to fund its portion of the expense.

Airport: $96,252 (451-027-720-542-69-65010)
Total: $156,252

BUDGET RESOLUTION 2022-149
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2021-2022 BUDGET TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT AT THE AIRPORT IN THE AMOUNT OF $156,252
WHEREAS, the playground equipment was approved by Council on April 5, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the Airport Advisory Board voted unanimously in favor of the playground; and
WHEREAS, the Airport is funding $96,252; and
WHEREAS, the Recreation and Parks department is transferring $60,000 from the General fund to the Airport fund to cover its expenditures.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCALA, FLORIDA, duly assembled in regular session that the fiscal year 2021-2022 budget be amended to appropriate funding as follows:
