BACKGROUND:

On or about December 28, 2015, the Revitalization Strategies Division, now known as Community Programs, finalized a rehabilitation project for Ewen East, a low-income household homeowner whose real property is located at 2210 NW 18th St., Ocala Florida. The project was completed using Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding. The amount of the deferred mortgage was $17,534.41.

FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:

On or about April 26, 2024, Community Programs was contacted concerning the East deferred mortgage payout amount through May 31, 2024. On or about August 23, 2024, Community Programs received a check for the balance of the deferred mortgage in the amount of $3,935.29. Staff recommends this amount be accepted via the proposed budget resolution and added to the Fiscal Year 2024-25 CDBG grant budget to further assist low-income families with approved housing rehabilitation activities.
