Fleet Management recommends replacing vehicles 04-043, 04-066, and 04-107 with new police-rated pursuit vehicles to support the mission-critical operations of the Ocala Police Department. Insurance proceeds will be utilized to facilitate the purchase from vendor Alan Jay Fleet Sales under Sourcewell Contract #2024-091521-NAF.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The combined replacement cost for vehicles 04-043 and 04-066 is $117,110, while the replacement cost for vehicle #04-107 is $60,986. Funding for the replacement of all three units, totaling $94,496, will be provided by the City's General Liability Insurance Fund (626-099-999-590-81-45020). The remaining funds amounting to $83,600, available in the Fiscal Year 2024 budget, will be sourced from the Ocala Police Department's Machinery & Equipment account (001-018-602-521-66-64010). The attached budget resolution outlines the allocation of funds to the appropriate accounts to facilitate the purchase.
