FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
Fleet Management recommends replacing vehicle 12-078 to support the operations of the Growth Management Department. Insurance proceeds will be utilized to facilitate the purchase from vendor Alan Jay Fleet Sales under Sourcewell contract #091521-NAF.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The combined replacement cost for vehicle 12-078 is $33,082. The City’s General Liability Insurance Fund (626-099-999-590-81-45020) will pay $24,866. The remaining $8,216 will be paid from the Growth Management Department’s Machinery & Equipment account (001-016-602-524-66-64010) and is available in the Fiscal Year 2024 budget.

The underlying purchase is being made in compliance with the City’s Procurement Policy.

BUDGET RESOLUTION 2024-137
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2023-24 BUDGET TO SUPPORT THE REPLACEMENT OF ONE VEHICLE APPRAISED AS A TOTAL LOSS AND TRANSFER FUNDS FROM THE GENERAL LIABILITY CLAIMS FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND
IN THE AMOUNT OF $24,866
WHEREAS, city vehicle 12-078 was involved in a major vehicle collision, resulting in the vehicle being appraised as a total loss; and
WHEREAS, the total replacement cost is $33,082; and
WHEREAS, the General Liability Claims Fund will cover $24,866 toward the replacement; and
WHEREAS, the remaining $8,216 will be paid from the Growth Management Machinery & Equipment account; and
WHEREAS, the replacement purchase will utilize the Sourcewell Contract #2024-091521-NAF pricing.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCALA, FLORIDA, duly assembled in regular session, that the Fiscal Year 2023-24 budget be amended as outlined below:
