Walmart donated $5,000 to support the Ocala Police Department’s “Shop with a Cop” event and other community programs.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
The Ocala Police Department will use the $5,000 donation to purchase items for community programs, thereby strengthening community engagement and supporting the department’s operational needs.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds will be allocated to 001-018-018-521-52-52010 (Operating Supplies) to purchase items for community programs.

A RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE FISCAL YEAR 2025-26 BUDGET TO APPROPRIATE A DONATION FROM WALMART IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,000…
WHEREAS, Walmart provided a donation to support the Ocala Police Department’s “Shop with a Cop” event and other community programs; and
WHEREAS, the utilization of $5,000 will support the purchase of items necessary for community programs, thereby furthering community engagement and community-oriented policing efforts.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCALA, FLORIDA, duly assembled in regular session, that the Fiscal Year 2025-26 budget be amended as outlined below:
