BACKGROUND:

On or about January 28, 2019, the Revitalization Strategies Division, now known as Community Programs, finalized a down payment assistance contract for Kirsten Drucker, an extremely low-income household whose real property is located at 419 NE 15th Court, Ocala, Florida. The project was completed using funding from the State Housing Initiative Program (SHIP) grant. The amount of the deferred mortgage was $18,000.

FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:

On or about June 18, 2024, Community Programs was contacted concerning the payout amount of the Drucker deferred mortgage. On July 3, 2024, the Community Programs received a check for the balance of the deferred mortgage in the amount of $18,000. Staff recommends this amount be received via the proposed budget resolution and added to the Fiscal Year 2023-24 SHIP budget to further assist low-income families with approved housing rehabilitation activities.
