BACKGROUND:
The City operates a fleet of approximately 1,900 vehicles, which includes cars, light trucks, and Class 8 heavy-duty vehicles. While the Fleet Management Department oversees general maintenance, the City requires the services of an experienced automotive body repair shop to perform extensive body repairs.
On September 9, 2022, the City entered into an agreement with Michael Lessard, Inc., doing business as Perfection Collision Carstar, to perform automotive body repairs as needed. The agreement has an initial term of three years, ending on September 6, 2025. This contract is established and managed under Munis Contract No. FLT/220387.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
Fleet Management staff has requested the option to utilize the first one-year renewal in accordance with the terms of the original agreement. Perfection Collision Carstar has agreed to extend the contract under the original terms, conditions, and pricing. The renewal period will commence on September 7, 2025, and will conclude on September 6, 2026. Fleet Management anticipates that aggregate expenditure under Contract No. FLT/220387 will total $150,000 for the renewal term.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Anticipated funding of $10,000 is available in the Fiscal Year 2024-25 budget account 001-025-523-519-51-46010 – Repair & Maintenance; the remaining $140,000 is budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2025-26.
