BACKGROUND:
The U.S. Government, through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), has made available certain funds through the Airport Coronavirus Response Grant Program (ACRGP). The intent of the funds is to help Sponsors of Airports offset a decline in revenues arising from diminished airport operations and activities because of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency.
Ocala's share of the allocated funding is $148,000 with no match requirement.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
The grant money will be reimbursed to the City as expenses are incurred and there is no match requirement.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Grant expenditures will be appropriated as follows:

A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE FEDERAL GRANT AGREEMENT, #3-12-0055-031-2022, BETWEEN THE CITY OF OCALA AND THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION FOR AIRPORT RESCUE GRANT TOTALING $148,000
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration has provided a grant offer of $148,000 to fund Airport Rescue Grant eligible expenses; and
WHEREAS, there are no matching requirements; and
WHEREAS, the funding will be used for General Aviation Terminal and Air Traffic Control Tower expenses.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCALA, FLORIDA, in regular session duly assembled as follows:
