The Ocala Police Department received community donations totaling $5,800 to be used specifically for the K-9 Unit.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
The donated $5,800 will pay K-9 related expenses.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Revenue will be posted to account 610-366-000-000-16-36694, and expenses will be posted to account 610-018-808-521-52-52010.

BUDGET RESOLUTION 2025-147
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2024-25 BUDGET TO ACCEPT AND APPROPRIATE COMMUNITY DONATIONS FOR K-9 RELATED EXPENSES IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,800
WHEREAS, the designated gift account in the Police Trust Fund was created to deposit revenues from community donations; and
WHEREAS, the Ocala Police Department received community donations in the amount of $5,800 for K-9 related expenses; and
WHEREAS, the utilization of this donation will enhance the K-9 Unit to serve the citizens of the City of Ocala and Marion County.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCALA, FLORIDA, duly assembled in regular session, that the Fiscal Year 2024-25 budget be amended as outlined below:
