BACKGROUND:
The Ocala International Airport conducts routine airfield pavement marking maintenance to ensure continued compliance with federal and state standards and to promote safe and efficient aircraft operations.
This project includes cleaning and restriping of runway designation numerals and centerline on Runway 8/26, cleaning and restriping of the Runway 18/36 centerline, and cleaning and restriping of various Taxiway A markings.
All work will be performed in accordance with applicable standards, including Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Advisory Circular 150/5340, Standards for Airport Markings, the Innovative Pavement Research Foundation Airfield Marking Handbook (IPRF01-G-002-05-1), and Chapter 14-60 of the Florida Administrative Code.
The project will be completed using the State of Florida bid contract with Florida Airfield Maintenance, JV, which provides efficient procurement and competitive pricing.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
Staff recommends approval and authorization for the appropriate City officials to execute all related documents.
The Airport Advisory Board approves of this project.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for this project will be provided as follows:

• Total Project Cost: $74,328.62
No grant funding is associated with this project.
PROCUREMENT REVIEW:
These services were procured in compliance with the City’s procurement policy.

A RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE FISCAL YEAR 2025-26 BUDGET TO appropriate funding from the Ocala Airport Reserve for Construction ACCOUNT for the Airfield Paint project in the amount of $74,329
WHEREAS, the City of Ocala owns and operates the Ocala International Airport, which requires ongoing maintenance to ensure safe and efficient aircraft operations; and
WHEREAS, grant funding is not available; and
WHEREAS, the project consists of cleaning and restriping runway designation numerals and centerline on Runway 8/26, cleaning and restriping the Runway 18/36 centerline, and cleaning and restriping various Taxiway A markings; and
WHEREAS, the project will be completed utilizing the State of Florida bid contract with Florida Airfield Maintenance, JV, which provides for efficient procurement and competitive pricing; and
WHEREAS, the total project cost is seventy-four thousand three hundred twenty-eight dollars and sixty-two cents ($74,328.62).
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCALA, FLORIDA, duly assembled in regular session, that the Fiscal Year 2025-26 budget be amended as follows:
