BACKGROUND:
The Excelsior Award is the highest honor bestowed by the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA) on criminal justice agencies in Florida. It is reserved for agencies that have achieved five consecutive reaccreditations over a 15-year period.
Representing Ocala Police Department to receive the award from Mayor Ben Marciano will be Deputy Chief Lou Biondi, Major Steve Cuppy, Major Greg Martin, Major Angy Scroble, Director Josh Sasso, Director Lyn Cole, and Ms. Lafayetta Hodges.
