BACKGROUND:
Current board member Anthony Ortiz's term expires on March 1, 2025, but he has submitted his application to be considered for a new three-year term ending March 1, 2028.
The term for current board member Charlie Varney also expires on March 1, 2025. He has been nominated by his peers, and the General Employees’ Retirement Board recommends his reappointment for a three-year term ending March 1, 2028.
There were no other applications, and this upcoming term position was advertised on the City website. The General Employees Retirement Plan System Board of Trustees is a five-member board with no other vacancies.
