BACKGROUND:
The City of Ocala Police Department Headquarters, a mission critical facility in our community, is experiencing significant roof issues. Over time, the polyurethane foam roof system has endured extensive weathering and aging, compromising its integrity. This deterioration has caused interior leaks and moisture problems inside the building.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
On February 2, 2024, the City issued Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. FAC/240394 to provide construction services related to the restoration of the Ocala Police Department Headquarters roof. A total of five (5) firms responded to the solicitation. After a comprehensive evaluation of the received bids, the Facilities Department recommends awarding ITB No. FAC/240394 to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Ford Design Group, LLC.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for this contract is appropriated and encumbered on contract FAC/240394 utilizing accounts 001-018-601-521-52-46010 ($227,000) and 092-018-601-521-69-46010 ($75,600).
PROCUREMENT REVIEW:
These services were procured in compliance with the City’s Procurement Policy.
LEGAL REVIEW:
This Agreement will be reviewed and approved for form and legality by City Attorney, William E. Sexton.
