body

BACKGROUND:

The Public Works Traffic Division requests approval of contract PWD/210626 with Cubic ITS Inc. for Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) software system maintenance and technical support to monitor and control signalized intersections maintained by the City of Ocala. This agreement covers the latest full-version upgrades, two annual updates, and a yearly check of the information technology environment in which the ATMS software resides. It also includes telephone support for the ATMS system.

FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:

For more than eight years, the ATMS software has been utilized by the Public Works Traffic Division. Use of previous versions dates to the mid-2000s. The ATMS software and equipment installed at each signalized intersection function as a system, enabling remote monitoring and control of traffic signal equipment.

Staff recommends approval of the three-year contract with Cubic ITS Inc. from July 8, 2024, through July 7, 2027.
