BACKGROUND:
The Public Works Streets Division is requesting approval of a contract with Pure Cuts Lawn Maintenance, LLC, for mowing of City-maintained rights-of-way, medians, parcels, and other designated areas in the northeast quadrant of the City. The mowing is based on a set number of cuts per month for each month of the calendar year. The scheduled mowing ensures an acceptable appearance and contributes to the longevity of our road network.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
On December 4, 2023, Invitation to Bid (ITB) No.: PWD/240103 was released for the provision of mowing services in the northeast quadrant of the City. Seven (7) bids were received with the following results:
Pure Cuts Lawn and Maintenance, LLC, was the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The Public Works Streets Division does not have the staffing to perform this task in a timely fashion. Contracting this service has proven to be cost-effective.
Staff recommends approval of the contract with Pure Cuts Lawn and Maintenance LLC for a two-year term beginning March 1, 2024, through February 28, 2026.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for this contract has been budgeted in 158-023-430-538-53-34010 for Fiscal Year 2023-24 in the amount of $31,166; $53,428 will be budgeted for Fiscal Year 2024-25; and $22,262 will be budgeted for Fiscal Year 2025-26.
